Habitat for Humanity

Modern American School

The Modern American School was thrilled to take part in the Habitat for Humanity volunteering opportunity on November 29, 2014. The Habitat for Humanity in Jordan works with 11 partner communities where the average family consists of seven children. The Habitat also works with urban communities in the greater Amman area and provides 55 square meter houses made of cement blocks. Each new house the Habitat for Humanity provides brings greater opportunities for the families of local communities to live healthy and happy lives.

Two groups of 20 students each (40 students total) picked up hammers and worked all day to improve the lives of less fortunate families in our area. The school provided the students with building equipment in exchange for their hard work and dedication. We were so proud of our MAS students for their hard work to make the wonderful Kingdom of Jordan an even better place to live for all families!
