This month, two local bookshops sponsored our Fall Book Exhibition of English and Arabic books organized by our Library system for MAS students, parents, and staff. The Jordan Book Center and the Dar Al-Manhal Publishing Company both took part in the book fair, held from Sunday, October 19th to Thursday, October 23rd in the KG Mezzanine. .
A wide variety of books were offered at the book fair. These included English, Arabic, and French books ranging from beginner to advanced reading level. Parents were encouraged to visit the bookstore as well, which sold reading material at reasonable prices and included genres ranging from science fiction to art history, as well as the latest popular titles.
At MAS, we believe that reading exposes our students to new ideas, information, and ways to solve problems. We advocate for our students to read on their own outside the classroom in order to improve their comprehension of ideas inside the classroom. The book fair was an excellent way to get our students excited about reading! We are looking forward to our next school wide book fair in the Spring Semester.
