The October session for the SAT tests began on Saturday, October 11th at the Modern American School High School. MAS is Amman’s College Board testing center with more than 600 students in attendance. In the past, students have come from all over Jordan to take the standardized tests at our school, which is a certified AP examination center and national center for the administration of the SAT exams. Historically, MAS students do exceptionally well on the tests, which focus on different areas depending on the subject. This is reflected in the number of admissions decisions from tier-one universities in the Spring Semester.
Colleges and universities use the SAT’s to standardize student assessment and achievement, thereby determining admissions decisions for the following academic year making them very important for senior students. Our juniors and seniors utilize the school’s SAT training program as well as the mock exam sessions that build up to the external tests and hone in their skills and time management for the final.
If you missed the October SAT sessions, do not fear! Tests are offered at the school in October, November, December, January, May, and June. Be sure to speak to one of your college counselors if you want to sign up for one of the upcoming SAT Subject Tests or SAT I exams before the November deadline. Your counselors can help you decide which tests to take, sign up for, and prepare for the test day. We wish you all the best! Hopes at MAS are high for this exam session and expectations for top tier university admissions decisions are building up!
