The High School (9 - 12)
The Modern American School High School represents the pinnacle of the MAS education. After many years of primary education, which solidifies a strong academic foundation, our students enter our senior school, where they are prepared for the real world. Here at the MAS High School, we provide our students with opportunities for academic success, personal growth, and self-discovery. Our program provides a challenging, well-rounded academic core to all students. In addition, the program maintains enough flexibility to provide a very personalized experience. Our students are given the opportunity to concentrate on their individual talents and interests and follow a specialized track, such as Science and Engineering, Linguistics, or Information Technology and Programming. Further, although students at MAS enjoy many privileges, it is our belief that today’s global citizens must give back to society. Therefore, our students grow in character through social engagement and community service.
High school represents a critical juncture in a student’s academic life, as it prepares scholars for higher education and university life. At MAS, we provide our students with every advantage for a fruitful and successful future. To achieve this end, MAS offers 6-9 AP subjects on average to maximize students’ chances of being accepted at top ranking universities. Since MAS is a college preparatory school, we offer individualized college counseling sessions with students and their parents to help each student choose the best, most compatible university for his or her interests and needs. Several university conferences from the US, UK, and Canada visit our campus to advise our students on their future college decisions. The information seminars conducted by our Academic Counseling Department and university fairs that occur regularly are a vital part of the high school culture.
The ultimate goal of MAS is to ensure a smooth transition for our students from their proverbial nest, fully ready with the necessary skills to face an ever-changing world. We aim to produce graduates who are prepared not only to meet the challenges of the future, but to shape it.
