International Education

The value of an international education is extensive and encompasses many different facets. Through an international education, students are empowered to engage and attempt to resolve world issues, prepare for the challenges on a global scale, and build their social networks in a manner that is beneficial to them past graduation. At MAS, part of our Mission and Vision is to equip our students with the highest caliber academic foundation, as well as the fundamental life skills that will empower them to be leaders and thrive in a world that is quickly becoming more global.

As an institution of excellence, it is our responsibility to provide the best academic training based on international standards. From Pre-school through grade 12, MAS students pursue the internationally recognized American program of study. MAS is a college preparatory school, and we successfully ready our students for their lives beyond graduation. Our students at the high school level are academically challenged with rigorous Advanced Placement courses, prepare for and excel on the SAT I and SAT II exams, and graduate from MAS with an American High School Diploma. Our graduates attend top-tier universities in the USA, UK, Canada, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East, and alumni can be found all over the globe accomplishing their goals. Our students are able to achieve great academic and personal successes based on the education and foundation that started with us here at MAS.

In addition to achieving academic prowess, our students are trained to be independent learners and global citizens of the world. Between students and faculty members, there are over 52 different nationalities represented at the Modern American School. We offer the following language programs, which are specifically designed to meet the needs of our diverse student body: English as a Second Language (ESL), Arabic as a Second Language (ASL), French Studies Program; as well as advanced level courses in the English language, English Literature, the Arabic language, and French.  Furthermore, our diversity ensures a multicultural environment as well as a place for all to develop tolerance and appreciation for other cultures and backgrounds. Faculty and students alike are able to revel in our similarities and learn and grow from our differences.

Catering to the individual academic, social, and emotional needs of our students is a top priority at the Modern American School. It gives us great pleasure and a sense of satisfaction to realize that at the end of the day, by providing for each student’s specific needs, every child has been given the best opportunity to reach his or her full potential.
